FC WORKS SOME MAGIC IN THE 9TH: Fullerton College hosted Long Beach City College on Tuesday and came back from a 1 run deficit to take the game from the Vikings 5-4.

The winning run came with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th inning when Uriel Salinas hit a SAC fly out to left field allowing 2B Derreck Garcia to score the winning run.

FC starter Juan Berumen just missed a chance for his first win on the season going 7 strong innings allowing 3 hits, 1 earned run, no walks, and 1 strikeout. Dylan Denker got the win tossing 1.1 innings with 1 earned run and 2 hits against.

Hornet SS Dakota Wix remained hot at the plate going 3-5 and scoring a run. Hits were also had by CF Ryan Joyce, 2B Nick Gotta, Garrett Dohohoe and Salinas.

Up Next: The Hornets (6-2 overall) travel down south to Grossmont College this Thursday, February 21st.  Game time is at 2:00 pm.  The next home games will be this Friday (vs Allan Hancock College @ 2:00 pm) and Saturday (vs San Diego City College @ 12:00 pm).
