BASEBALL: ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM ANNOUNCED
Four Hornets were selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference team this week.
Sophomore CF Dakota Wix was a 1st team selection batting .341 (56 hits) with 20 RBI, and 34 runs. He wrapped up the season with a .964 fielding percentage. Last season's OEC Player of the Year, Wix will be making headlines wherever he plays next season.
Sophomore OF K.C. Huth was a 2nd team selection hitting .350 (49 hits) with 32 RBI, and 18 runs scored. Blessed with a canon for an arm, Huth ended the season a fielding percentage of .932.
Selected 2nd team All-Conference, sophomore 2B Nick Gotta hit .265 (35 hits), with 13 RBI, and 24 runs. Gotta had 77 putouts, 90 assists, and a .938 fielding percentage.
Sophomore left handed pitcher Nick Morton was selected 2nd team All-OEC leading the Hornets with a record 7-2 record throwing a total of 81 innings. Morton had 56 K's and a 2.89 ERA.
