BASEBALL: HOMEGROWN KID

FC sophomore CF Dakota Wix will stay home to play at Cal State Fullerton next spring.

A true local product, Wix grew up in Fullerton playing ball at Troy High, Fullerton College, and will now play for the Titans of CSUF.

Wix has been a spark plug for the Fullerton College the past two seasons leading the Hornets to an overall record of 54-29.

In 2013, Wix was the Orange Empire Player of the Year leading the Hornets to the State Championship Series with 66 hits, 36 runs, 22 RBI, 20 stolen bases, and a .429 batting average.

In 2014, Wix was selected 1st team All-Orange Empire Conference with 56 hits 34 runs, 20 RBI, 15 stolen bases and a .341 batting average.
