FOOTBALL: LONGORIA AN EAGLE
WR Ryan Longoria will play for Georgia Southern in the fall.
Longoria signed his National Letter of Intent this past week and will now play for the Eagles in the Sun Belt Conference.
Playing in every game with the Hornets for two seasons in 2012 and 2013 (24 total games), Ryan currently ranks 8th all-time in single season receptions with 51, 5th all-time for career receptions with 86, and 4th all-time in career receiving yards with 1,446.
Longoria helped Fullerton College to two back-to-back conference championships, a Southern California Championship title in 2013, and a state-runner-up title.
This past season, Longoria led the team with 978 yards on 51 receptions (19.2 average) with 7 touchdowns. In 2012, he had 35 receptions with 468 yards (13.4 average) and 7 touchdowns.
Longoria was also a 2nd Team All-Southern Conference selection in the Southern California Football Association.
