FOOTBALL: YONTZ TO TEXAS TECH

Hornet standout defensive lineman Quentin Yontz made it official this week as he signed a full-ride scholarship with Texas Tech.

A two-year starter with FC, Yontz anchored the defensive front that won the 2016 Conference, State, and National Championships.

A second team All-SCFA player from Centennial High in Corona, California, Quentin played in a total of 22 games (13 in 2016 and 9 in 2015) with Fullerton racking up 15 tackles with 2.5 sacks his freshman season and 38 tackles with 4 sacks during his sophomore campaign.

"Quentin is as solid as they come, and Texas Tech is getting a quality player with a nose for the ball", Hornet Defensive Coordinator Brian Crooks.
