MEN’S BASKETBALL: HORNETS MAKE ALL-OEC

Three Hornets were selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference team in Jason Richardson, Khalil Stevenson, and Ronne Readus.

Sophomore guard Jason Richardson was a hands-down unanimous selection to the first team All-OEC squad. Richardson averaged 18.4 points a game (3^rd in the OEC), 4.8 assists, and 4.8 rebounds. His game-high for the season was 34 points against Mount San Jacinto College back on November 10^th.

Khalil Stevenson and Ronne Readus were All-OEC 2^nd team selections. Stevenson averaged 10.1 points per game. His game-high for the Hornets this season was 19 points against San Bernardino Valley College on December 7^th. Readus averaged 9.4 points and led the team in rebounds at 6.8 rebounds per game.

The Hornets just missed at a chance for their second consecutive OEC title losing to Orange Coast College in the championship game 83-74 overtime. The last time OCC won a conference title was back in 1979.

Up Next: Fullerton, the #7 seed, will play in the second round of the SoCal Regional Playoffs this Friday, February 23^rd when they host #10 Allen Hancock College. Tip off is at 7:00 pm. IT'S A WHITE-OUT so wear your white to support your Hornets!
