The FC men's soccer team took on #9 in the state Golden West College on Tuesday and brought down the Rustlers 2-1 on the road.
It was a good win for Fullerton as the win keeps them in the hunt for a playoff spot in a tight Orange Empire Conference race. The GWC loss is only their second in conference and third overall, giving them a 7-2 record in the OEC and 10-3 record overall.
Midfielder Brian Jaquez scored both goals for the Fullerton with the assists coming from Jose Garcia Manuel Gonzalez.
GK Julian Sanchez secured the win allowing 1 goal along with 4 saves in 90 minutes of play.
Up Next: The Hornets (6-5-5) will host Irvine Valley College (4-5, 5-8-3) this Friday, October 31st. Game time will be at 3:00 pm.
