M. SOCCER: TOUGH ROAD LOSS

The Hornets got off to a great 1-0 start in their road matchup at Chaffey College on Wednesday, but two Panther goals in the second half spoiled Fullerton's plans.

Coming off a 5-0 win over Lake Tahoe on Sunday, the FC men's soccer team was beginning click together. 

Fullerton scored the game's first goal early in the 12th minute on a shot by Giovanni Marsh with the assist by way of Chance Alviso.

The second half did not go very well for the Hornets as Chaffey popped in two quick goals in the 53rd and 55th minutes by Hector Ortega and Joseph Jara.

Unable to get the ball rolling in its favor, Fullerton was shut out in the second half sealing the team's second loss of the season.

FC goalie Andres Ramirez had a busy day in the box with 8 saves in 90 minutes of play.

Up Next: The Hornets (3-2 overall) will play another non-conference match on the road (5 total so far) on Thursday, September 16th at Cañada College. Game time is at 4:00 pm.
