MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: BUSY WEEKEND

FC's Men's Track and Field team had a busy weekend competing against Saddleback College and Golden West College on Friday, and taking a few athletes over to Pomona Pitzer College invitational to compete on Saturday.

In the men's second double dual meet in a very early season competition, we went against a very tough Saddleback team. Freshman Adrian Williams competed in his first meet wearing a Fullerton College uniform and came away with a win in the 400m Run in an impressive time of 51.44 having only been out for the team for 3 weeks. Many of the athletes were able to better their seasonal bests.

FC men's team competed very evenly with the team from Golden West College.

"I feel very good with our progress so far this year, the team must remember it is very early in the season still, and to rush our fitness just to run fast and score points, would hurt our chances of being strong and fast, when the championship meets roll around in late April and early May. It's exciting to see the men improve their marks this early in the season, knowing that the best is still to come", Heach Coach Wade Watkins.

On Saturday, Cameron Burks and Zedric McGee, jumped their way to very respective 3rd and 5th places at the Pomona Pitzer All Comers Meet. (5.75m & 5.50m).

Braxton Word, Nelson Hernandez and Carlos Luna took their throwing talents to Pomona Pitzer and competed against a very strong contingent of 4 year colleges.
