MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: OEC SWEEP
The Men's track team came away with victories against Golden West and Santa Ana Colleges in an Orange Empire Conference duel meet.
The wins are new head coach Sean Sheil's first as a Hornet.
Pablo Perez won the 800m with a time of 1:57 and came back to take 3rd in the 3000m. Kenneth Griffin won the 100m dash and teammate Kyle Calderon took 2nd in the 40m in 51.88.
In the jumps, Noel Dominguez took 2nd in both the Long and Triple Jump.
In the throws, the Hornets swept the javelin. Carlos Luna, Braxton Word, and Johnny Bravo went 1, 2, 3 respectively. Francisco Padilla took 3rd in the shot put throwing 43'-10" for a PR.
Int he throws, for both the men and women, the Hornets had 12 total PR's on the day.
