SOFTBALL: COACH SPEEDY ELECTED TO HALL OF FAME

The Orange County Fellowship of Christian Athletes inducted Hornet softball coach Marian "Speedy" Mendoza into their Hall of Fame.

On June 19th, the OC FCA held their annual "Night of Legends" Hall of Fame ceremony that featured keynote speaker former U.S. Navy Seal Chad Williams.

Coach Mendoza has worked with student-athletes for over thirty years and has been coaching at Fullerton College for 24 seasons. She is also the President of the Cal A's Travel Ball Organization with teams in So Cal, Nor Cal and Hawaii.

Mendoza's success as both a player and coach is reflected in her philosophy that success is not marked in the wins or loss columns, but in the overall growth and development of the individual. Her vision is to work and empower future student athletes to reach their fullest potential. Her dream is to build a program where the players best interest is the number one goal. Her hopes are to provide guidance and knowledge to both athlete and their families to make the right choices for their future college careers.
