WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: TURNOVERS CAN HURT

Fullerton hosted Saddleback College Wednesday night and lost a tough one to the Gauchos 64-58 in the Hornets Nest.

FC had an eight point lead (19-8) at the 11:42 mark in the first half.  They would squander it by halftime to trail 25-12.

In the second half, Fullerton worked hard to keep up with Saddleback coming within six points (46-39 at 7:25), but the Gauchos were too much to handle maintaining the lead for the remainder of the game.

Fullerton had a tough night holding on to the ball committing 27 total turnovers allowing Saddleback to score 19 points.  Saddleback did not have the greatest night shooting the ball at 37.1%, but it was enough as FC shot 36.2%.

FC's Kelli Calton had a game-high 25 points, with 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.  Andrya Ventura put up 17 points, 5 rebounds, and a steal.  Tatiana Scott dropped in 8 points, 2 assists, and had a steal.

Up Next: FC (5-15, 1-4) will open the second half of Orange Empire Conference play at Santa Ana College this Friday, January 31st.  Tip off is at 5:30 pm.  In game one of the OEC season series, Fullerton lost 54-48 to the Dons at home.
