The Lady Hornets fought valiantly at Orange Coast College Tuesday night, however the Pirate offense was too hot as FC lost 70-65.
A made three-pointer by Nancy De La Cruz put the Hornets up, 46-45, with 3:17 left in the third, before the Pirates ripped of nine straight points and never trailed again, despite a hard-fought effort by Fullerton.
Another Hornet three-pointer by Jasmine Young brought Fullerton to within a point at 62-61 with 2:25 left in the game, but OCC closed the door with an 8-4 run.
OCC's starting five outscored the Hornets opening five, 68-35, dropping FC to 5-16 overall, 1-8 in the OEC.
Emilee Dy led Fullerton's starters 15 points and 8 assists, while Jasmine Young came off the bench accumulating 17 points and 7 rebounds.
Up Next: Fullerton (5-16, 1-8) will host Santa Ana College on Thursday, February 11th for their last home game of the season. Tip off is at 5:00 pm. Come on out and give the team some love!
