W. BASKETBALL: MO GOES PRO!
Former Hornet basketballer Monica Hanna signed a professional basketball contract with 6th October Sports Club in Egypt.
Hanna played for the FC women's basketball team for two seasons (2015-16/2016-17) under head coach Marcia Foster. During her freshman campaign, Hana averaged 9.2 points with 8.3 rebounds a game. Hanna's numbers improved during her sophomore season scoring 11.4 points with 10.1 rebounds a game. She had 14 double-double games out of 28 games played. The All-Orange Empire Conference second teamer earned a full scholarship from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas.
6th October is a sports club based in the city 6th of October, Egypt. In 2017, it was promoted to the Egyptian Basketball Super League, which is composed of 16 top-tier professional teams.
