The FC women's lacrosse team nearly pulled off a win for its season opener on Saturday at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo falling in a close one 8-7.
The game was tied 7-7 by the end of regulation, but the Hornets lost in double-sudden death.
Goals were had by Autumn Wagner (3), Hailey Hirsch, Lacey Balliger, Ella Hesse, and McKennah Renfro.
FC goalie Cindy Suarez had 6 saves on the day.
