WOMEN'S SOCCER: SEASON OPENER EQUALS A WIN

The Hornets hosted Grossmont College on Friday afternoon nearly blanking the Griffins 3-1 to open the 2014 season.

Fullerton scored the first goal in the 22nd minute of the game on a shot by Elizabeth Ayson. Natalia Vasco supplied the assist. Ayson struck again in the 31st minute with the assist by Jessica Lee. Ayson struck again on an unassisted goal with 12 minutes left in the game.

Grossmont's lone goal came with just minutes left in regulation on a penalty kick.

GK Mallory Van Voorhis played in the first have with no goals against and two saves. GK Klarissa Flores played in the second half with 1 goal against and 5 saves. 

Up Next: The Hornets (1-0) will hit the road against Palomar College on Tuesday, September 2nd. Game time is at 4:00 pm.
