WOMEN'S SOCCER: HOME SWEET HOME

The Hornets snapped a six-game losing spell at home Tuesday shutting out Norco College 3-0.

The win lands FC at 4-8 overall and gives them their first win in the Orange Empire Conference with a record of 1-6.

Fullerton scored their first goal just six minutes into the game on a corner kick. Elizabeth Ayson kicked the ball in from the corner, and Rode put the ball in the back of the net on a header.

The Hornets had another quick goal at the 30 minute mark when Ayson delivered the ball across the mouth of the goal allowing Crystal Foutris to tap it in.

The final goal on the day was scored at the 60 minute mark when Nicole Garcia broke free from the back taking the ball on the way in for the unassisted goal.

Hornet goalies Mallory Van Voohris and Klarissa Flores locked down the shutout splitting halves. Van Voohris had 2 saves.

Up Next: Fullerton has a bye this Friday but will be back in action on Tuesday, October 14th when they host Santa Ana College @ 3:00 pm.
