WOMEN'S SOCCER: HAWKS GET BY HORNETS

Fullerton gave undefeated Santiago Canyon College a run for their money on the road Tuesday falling to the Hawks 3-1.

The loss lands the Hornets at an overall record of 2-6-1 and an Orange Empire Conference record of 1-3. The win gives SCC an overall record of 8-0-1 and an OEC record of 5-0.

The Hawks got on the board first scoring in the 44th minute on a goal by Lauren Sabella with the assist by Brooke Mays.

Fullerton bounced back in the 49th minute when Amalia Serna dropped the ball to Johanna Moran who shot the ball over the goal keeper's head for the goal.

SCC put one back in the net on their next drive from Mays with the assist coming from Jade Anderson.

The Hawks managed one more goal in the 54th minute from Alyssa Regalado with the assist coming from Yazmeen Flores.

FC played a strong game against one of the state's top teams proving that they have the talent to compete with anyone.

Up Next: The Hornets will host Golden West College this Friday, October 2nd for another Orange Empire Conference match-up. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
