WOMEN'S SOCCER: ON A ROLL

The Hornets knocked off Irvine Valley 7-0 at home on Friday, and then beat Santa Ana College 4-1 on the road on Tuesday.

The win against the Dons improves their conference record to 6-7-2 in the Orange Empire Conference (5th place) and 7-10-3 overall. The loss for Santa Ana drops them 3-12 in the OEC (8th place) and 7-13 overall.

Fullerton jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a pair of goals by Crystal Foutris in the 30th and 41st minutes. The first goal was scored on a loose ball in the box, the second goal came on an Alyssa Larios corner kick.

Santa Ana's Gabriela Rodriguez cut the Hornets lead in half when she scored in the 43rd minute on a throw-in by Cristina Lizarraga.

But Fullerton would add two more goals in the second half to take the 4-1 victory. Madison Wells scored in the 53rd minute before Amalia Serna scored in the 72nd minute. Johanna Serna assisted on both goals.

FC goalie Mallory Van Voorhis played very well with 7 saves in 90 minutes of play.

Up Next: The Hornets will wrap up the regular season at home against district rival Cypress College (14-3-2 - 3rd place in the OEC) on Friday, November 13th. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
