WOMEN'S SOCCER: OFF AND RUNNING

With two games already under the belts in the 2017 season, the Hornets are off to a strong start beating top-tier team Mt. San Antonio College 1-0 and El Camino College 2-1.

Against Mt. SAC last Friday, Fullerton only needed one goal to beat last season's playoff contender. Brianna Remedios kicked it in in the 57th minute after taking the pass from Brooke Morris. FC goalie Savannah Dyer locked down the shutout and had 3 saves on the day.

Fullerton hit the road on Tuesday to take on El Camino College and pulled out another close win. The first goal was had by Sophia Arrieta, who knocked in an unassisted shot in the 21st minute. ECC tied the game up on a penalty shot in the 39th minute, but FC's Brianna Remedios put the finishing touches on the game when she kicked one into the back of the net in the 84th minute. Brooke Morris was credited with the assist. Goalie Savannah Dyer grabbed her second win with 4 saves in 90 minutes of play.

Up Next: Fullerton will try and keep their winning ways going when they host another tough opponent in Rio Hondo College this Friday, September 8th. Game time is at 1:00 pm so come on out and support your Hornets!
