The Lady Hornets took the field at Golden West College on Friday, and blanked the Rustlers 2-0 in the final Orange Empire Conference game of the season.
Fullerton ends the regular season in fourth place and will most likely make the playoffs after posting a conference record of 6-4-4 with an overall record of 11-5-4.
It was a good win for FC as they scored both of the game's goals in the 54th and 55th minute. Alyssa Gallardo scored her first goal of the season off an assist by Victoria Arrieta. A minute later, Hornet goals leader Kaelah Basurto followed up with her 12th goal of the season. The assist came from Katherine Stangl.
Fullerton goalie Monica Balos kept Golden West scoreless with 4 saves in 82 minutes. GK Kayla Ippolito finished off the game without an opposing goal being scored.
