Although the Hornets fought hard, visiting Santiago Canyon College was too much as Fullerton fell 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
The loss moves FC to fourth place in the Orange Empire Conference with a record of 2-2-1. SCC remains undefeated with Cypress (3-0-1) and Saddleback (2-0-2) with a first-place record of 4-0-1. The Hawks and Saddleback have yet to have a goal scored against them at all this season.
Playing strong defense, FC did it's best to keep the Hawks scoreless throughout most of the first half, until Kylee Medlin headed in a shot from a corner kick with just second left in the half.
SCC added its second goal in the 67th minute on header by Cassie Lewis.
Hornet goalie Cindy Suarez had a busy day in the box with 7 saves in 90 minutes.
