STATE DOUBLES CHAMPS

STATE DOUBLES CHAMPS:  In addition to winning the State Team Championship this past week, the Hornet duo of Sarah Anderson and Victoria Vo also laid claim to the 2013 CCCAA State Doubles Title as well.

Fullerton came very close to the trifecta in winning the Individuals Title with #2 Anderson made it all the way to the state finals (out of 128 players) where she fell to #1 Bruna Magalhaes of Santa Barbara City College 6-2, 7-6 (1).

After the tough defeat, #1 Anderson and Vo rose up in doubles-play claiming the State Title by beating #4 Juliana Nelkin and Kaori Tsuda of Santa Monica College 0-6, 6-3, 6-4. 

Anderson had a very busy week playing in fourteen total matches in five days.  

Head Coach Scott Giles was also named the State Coach of the Year.
