WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: OEC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Extraordinary Hornet athletes finished second at the Orange Empire Conference Championships this past weekend at Orange Coast College.
Riverside wound up winning it all as it came down to the mile relay as the strength of the 1600-meter relay solidified second in that event and helped claim the second place spot for the team. Fullerton compiled 118 points to Orange Coast's 113 points for third.
FC athlete Jasmine Williams scored 52.5 points adding her name to the Hornet history books becoming a champion in the Heptathlon, High Jump, and Javelin.
Other FC champions were Fanny Giron for her efforts in the 400-meter and Samantha Duong in the 400-meter Hurdle.
Ten Lady Hornets qualified for Southern California Regional Championships in 19 different events to be held at Cerritos College May 2, 2015.
