WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: GEARING UP
The Hornets took a trip to Riverside City College for their last dual meet of the season against Riverside City College.
The meet was more for qualifying athletes in events for the upcoming OEC Championships.
"I called this meet a tune up meet", said Hornet Head Coach Bevec.
The athlete that needed a qualifying mark was Belen Gonzalez in the 5000 meters (12.5 laps), and she did not disappoint running a 21:2307 with ease giving her the opportunity to run at the OEC championships.
Kim Flores worked very hard trying her best to qualify in the 800 meters, but she fell short of the qualifying time.
The rest of the team competed in their normal events preparing them for what they need to do for this coming week.
Team score: FC 14 points - RCC 136 points.
Up Next: The OEC Championship Prelims at Orange Coast College on Friday April 22nd. Field Events start at 11:00 am and Track Events will begin at 3:00 pm.
