The Hornets broke a 5-game losing streak at home Wednesday night sweeping Santiago Canyon College in three straight sets.
A needed Orange Empire Conference match, Fullerton came out like gangbusters in the first set winning it 25-14. FC kept it rolling into the second set taking a healthy 15-8 lead before winning it 25-10. The third and final set was all Hornets as they finished it 25-15.
McKenna Mokry led FC in kills with 6. She also added 3 digs. Hannah Wilmes chipped in with 5 kills and 5 digs. Faith Webb and Alexa Hauser both had 4 kills each. Webb also contributed 9 digs while Hauser had 2. Hannah Tobin led all with 14 digs, while Alicia Isa Domingo led the team in assists with 15.
Up Next: The Hornets (7-6 overall, 1-1 OEC) will try and keep the wins coming when they travel to cross-town and district rival Cypress College this Friday, September 24th. Match time is at 6:00 pm.
