W. VOLLEYBALL: PIRATES OUTMANEUVER HORNETS

The Hornets dropped their second straight conference match at home Wednesday against Orange Coast College 3-1.

In the first set Fullerton fell behind early as OCC took a 10-4 lead before winning it 25-15. The second was much like the first as the Pirates as they went up early 15-6 and then finished it 25-12. Fullerton showed some fight in the third set. Down 11-9, the Hornets came to life taking a 15-12 lead on a kill by Faith Webb. With the game knotted up 24-24, Fullerton won the game 24-26 on McKenna Mokry's kill from the left side. The Hornets worked very hard in the fourth set taking 9-11 advantage, but OCC proved to be too much winning the set and match 25-21.

Faith Webb had a busy night leading the Hornets with 14 kills (just on short of her season high) and 18 digs. Hannah Wilmes followed up with 11 kills, while McKenna Mokry had 10. Alicia Isa Domingo shelled out 33 assists with 9 digs, and Hannah Tobin led the team in digs with 30 (tying her season high).
