WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: COACH BEVEC HONORED

Hornet head coach Gina Bevec was honored at the annual 5CTCA convention as the 2013 "Coach of the Year" for women's cross country. 

The 2013 FC women's cross country team had a successful season placing fourth overall in State with the gap between 1st and 5th place of just 27 seconds. The team featured four All-Conference runners in Maegan Garritson (1st team), Daisy Esparza (2nd team), Elena Estrada (2nd team), and Taylor Morico (2nd team).

The FC team also took second place at the Orange Empire Conference Cross Country Championships at Irvine Regional Park and were the Brubaker Invitational Champions last October.

The California Community College Cross Country & Track Coaches Association (5CTCA) Awards Ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 5th at the 5CTCA's Annual Convention, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
