HAWAII-BOUND HORNETS

Hornet outfielders Britton Beeson and Diego Franco both signed with the University of Hawaii.

A gifted sophomore, Britton Beeson tore the cover off the ball last seaon for the Hornets breaking the single season RBI record with 66. The former record of 62 was held by Jim Short in 1990. Beeson batted .323 with 19 doubles, 2 triples, and 12 home runs. He also racked up 61 hits, 43 runs and 26 walks in 47 games played.

Another talented sophomore, Diego Franco played a big role in the Hornet's success last season batting .278 with 27 RBI, had 8 doubles and 10 walks. He added 25 runs and 45 hits in 42 games.
