It was a great year for Fullerton College Athletics with many individual accomplishments achieved as well as team success as the department invited parents, faculty, coaches, students, and campus administration to the North Gym on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate distinguished student-athletes for the 26th Academic Athletic Awards.

The third time was a charm for the Rams of San Francisco, who beat Fullerton College in the 3C2A Men's State Championship 75-58 on Sunday afternoon at Mt. San Antonio College.

And then there were two, as the No. 1 south Hornets played their hearts out Saturday defeating No. 3 south San Bernardino Valley College 83-76 moving Fullerton on to the 3C2A State Championship game to be played against San Francisco this Sunday.

For the third straight season, the No. 1 south Hornets will play in the semi-final game of the 3C2A State Tournament after defeating No. 4 north Consumes River 68-53 Thursday night.

The No. 1 Fullerton College men's basketball team punched its ticket to the 3C2A State Tournament at home Saturday defeating No. 9 Chaffey College 86-61.

Fullerton's Joe Grahovac has been named the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Most Valuable Player after leading his team to a co-conference title and a second overall seed in the 3C2A Southern Regional Championships. Fullerton Head Coach Perry Webster earned the Coach of the Year award for the fourth consecutive season, while Fullerton's Justin Davis has been crowned the Defensive Player of the Year.

The FC men's basketball team won its fourth straight Orange Empire Conference title beating Santiago Canyon College 77-68 in the first annual OEC Tournament Friday night.

The No. 1 seeded Hornets did their job defeating the No. 5 Santa Ana College Dons in overtime at home Wednesday night 87-82 in the semifinal game of the Orange Empire Conference Tournament.
