The No. 1 in state Hornets are now 2-0 in the Orange Empire Conference after a decisive 74-53 road-win at Irvine Valley College Friday night.
Fullerton imposed their will in the first half forcing the Lasers to shoot 17.9% from the floor. The score was 44-16 by halftime.
The Hornets grabbed their biggest lead of 38 in the second half, and cruised on for the win.
Overall, FC shot 56.4% to IVC's 32.8% and was 11 for 20 from beyond the arc. They also out-rebounded the Lasers 36-25.
Lance Coleman II did not hold back against his old team scoring a game-high 22 points with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Rodrick McCobb also had a good night with 19 points. Jailen Moore scored 12 points, and Ronne Readus scored 8 with 6 rebounds. Vaj Rice put up 7 points and 5 rebounds.
Up Next: The Hornets (17-1 overall, 2-0 OEC) will play another conference game on Wednesday, January 16th in the Hornets Nest against Santa Ana College. Tipoff is at 5:00 pm.
