On Friday night, the Hornets drove down to Santa Ana College for an Orange Empire Conference matchup and lost a hard-fought game to the Dons 75-68.
The FC defeat bumps the team to 18-3 overall and is now trailing Santiago Canyon for first place in the OEC at 7-2. The Hawks (18-4, 8-1) handed Fullerton an 86-78 road-loss back on January 3rd and will play in the Hornet Nest next week. The Santa Ana win gives the Dons an overall record of 14-8 with an OEC record of 4-5. Fullerton and Santa Ana split the season series- the Hornets beat the Dons 85-68 on December 20th.
Joe Grahovac led the Hornets with 19 points and 11 rebounds a double-double. Jaqari Miles put up 12 points, while Justin Davis and Anthony Smith Jr. scored 8 point apiece. Darvelle Wyatt scored 7 points and had 5 rebounds.
