The No. 1 seed in the south Fullerton College will play No. 17 Southwestern Community College in the Nest this Saturday night for the 2nd Round of the 3C2A Southern California Regionals.
The Hornets watched with anticipation as No. 16 Santa Monica College and No. 17 Southwestern battled it out on Wednesday night to see which team they would play for the second round of playoffs. Southwestern (20-9) proved to be too much for the Corsairs of Santa Monica College winning the right to play Fullerton 90-70.
The game will feature the high-powered offense of the Jaguars (80 ppg.) against the state-best defense of the Hornets (62.7 ppg. allowed). It will be the first meeting between the two teams since December 9, 2024, which was a 101-57 blowout-win for FC.
