The Hornets put a halt to a four-game skid on Tuesday beating Glendale College 2-1 at home.
Fullerton needed the win in the worst way and dug deep to grab their second win of the young season. The first half ended in a 0-0 tie as both teams fought to position themselves for the elusive goal.
In the second half's 50th minute the Hornets struck gold on a goal by sophomore Tyler Grassi with the assist by sophomore Luis Torres.
FC did it again in the 58th minute on a goal by freshman Cesar Ortega who took the pass from sophomore Melchor Gomez.
The Vaqueros hit a goal later in the game, but Fullerton's defense held strong for the win.
The Hornet's freshman goalie, Silvestre Puebla, had 5 saves with a goal against in 90 minutes.
Up Next: The Hornets (2-5 overall) will host Golden West College this Friday, September 15th in a big match-up to open conference-play. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
