THE ORANGE EMPIRE CONFERENCE CHAMPS!

THE ORANGE EMPIRE CONFERENCE CHAMPS!

For the third time in four seasons, the FC men's soccer team is the undisputed Orange Empire Conference champion after defeating Irvine Valley College on the road 2-0.

The stormy conditions and Lasers could not stop the Hornets on Tuesday as Fullerton sealed its fifth conference title with a game left in the regular season. It is the third OEC Championship won under head coach Greg Aviles (2018, 2019, and 2022), who came to Fullerton College in 2016. The previous titles were won in 1981 and 1992 under head coach Jim Pasquale.

The first goal of the game came in the 40th minute on a shot by Angel Sevillano, who took the assist from Cesar Zamora.

In the 70th minute, Misael Gonzalez sealed the victory with his 11th goal of the season (2nd in the OEC for goals scored). The assist was courtesy of Diego Anaya.

FC goalkeeper Jose Estrada earned the shutout with 3 saves on the day. It was the 9th shutout-win for Fullerton this season.
