Tied 2-2 after regulation-play and two overtime periods, it all came down to penalty kicks between No. 15 Santa Barbara City College and No. 2 Fullerton College with the Vaqueros stunning the Hornets to move on to the second round of the SoCal Regionals.

In the second half, the match turned into an all-out dogfight with Miseal Gonzalez kicking in the first goal nearly eight minutes in. Not to be outdone, Santa Barbara City tied the game up a minute later on Haru Ito's deep-shot from 20-yards out.
