SHUTOUT-WIN OVER HAWKS

On Tuesday afternoon, the FC men's soccer team took a trip to Santiago Canyon College and grounded the Hawks 4-0.

It was the second Orange Empire Conference win for the Hornets, who are now 2-01 in conference-play and 6-3-2 overall. The Santiago Canyon loss gives them an OEC record of 0-4 with an overall record of 2-7-1.

The FC squad did most of its damage in the first half scoring three unanswered goals. Thomas Gomez knocked in the first goal of the day a the t 21:35 mark, Jacob Ponce kicked one into the back of the net at 29:49, and Josiahs Palacios scored at 38:45. The lone goal had in the second half was scored by Omar Ruiz in the 48th minute.

Strong defense by FC, along with goalie Andrew Barragan, landed the team its 6th shutout victory of the season.
