A three-peat championship landed the Hornets many awards after the All-Orange Empire Conference was announced on Monday.
Fullerton College had another fantastic regular season winning its third straight OEC title with an undefeated record of 10-0-4. This season marks the first in the program's history where a Fullerton College team has gone unbeaten in conference-play. This Hornets currently have 11 shutouts on the season with 15 goals scored against. The 2018 FC squad hold the school record with 12 total shutouts in a season with 11 goals against.
For the fifth time since taking over the reins in 2016, Head Coach Greg Aviles and his staff were awarded as the OEC Coaching Staff of the Year.
Freshman Andrew Arreola was chosen as the OEC Defensive Player of the Year. A defensive presence on the field, Arreola also added 3 goals this season.
Earning 1st Team All-OEC honors were sophomore defender Evan Yoell, sophomore midfielder Cesar Marquez (3 goals/2 assists), sophomore forward Hayden Kenny (4 goals/2 assists), and freshman defender Max Ron (3 goals/4 assists).
Getting the 2nd Team All-OEC nod were freshman goalie Steven Martinez (39 saves/4 wins), sophomore goalie Ryan Moreno-Rojas (18 saves/3 wins), and freshman midfielder Jair Vargas (1 goal/1 assist).
Honorable Mention awards went to sophomore defender Nathan Giles (1 goal/2 assists), sophomore defender Kyle Sherman (2 assists), sophomore midfielder Jacob Ponce (2 goals/1 assist), freshman midfielder Cisco Torres (1 goal/1 assist), and sophomore midfielder Hector Guevara.
Earning All-Region (South) were Andrew Arreola, Steven Martinez, Cesar Marquez, and the FC Coaching Staff.
