GUTIERREZ & LUMANG SIGN WITH HOPE

FC tennis sophomores David Gutierrez and Michael Lumang both signed on the dotted line on Tuesday committing to Hope International University.

Playing as doubles partners this past season, David and Michael were state qualifiers finishing in Round 64 of the 3C2A Ojai Tournament. They represented Fullerton College and the Orange Empire Conference very well with honor and hard work in the classroom and on the court.

"David and Michael have been so great to have on the men's team. They both represented well and were captains of the team in their last year. I will always remember having a Zoom conversation with David as a recruit and visiting Michael at the Anaheim Tennis Center. They played No. 2 and 3 spots in the singles lineup and were No. 2 in doubles. I am very proud of them committing to HIU. It is really cool to see their development these past two years, and I know they will be great at the next level. It's also very nice to see them go through this college tennis experience together", Hornet Head Coach Dr. Yolanda Duron.
