BEGINNING IN BAKERSFIELD

The FC men's track and field team had an early season opener at Bakersfield College's Battle of the Regions last Friday.

The meet gave the team of almost all freshmen a first chance to test themselves in college competition.

Damian Sanchez took 6th overall in the 400m with a time of 52.99 seconds. The 400m event had 25 participants.

Christian Foster, in his first ever attempt in the triple jump, went 42' 8.75." It was good for 2nd place overall.

The Hornet's one and only sophomore, Christopher Chapman, took 2nd overall in the 400IH, running 60.15 seconds.

Up Next: The Hornets travel to Cerritos college this Saturday, February 19th to compete in the Falcons Invitational.
