ALL-OEC WATER POLO HORNETS

Four FC water polo athletes received All-Orange Empire Conference honors last week.

The team leader and goalie, Joshua Beutter was the lone Hornet to earn 1st Team All-OEC honors playing in 17 games with 122 overall saves and 34 in conference.

Earning second team was Brandon Ramirez, who led the team in goals with 33.

Taking home Honorable Mention were Diego Delgadillo and Cole Scarry. Delgadillo was second in team scoring with 22 goals. Known for his strong defensive skills, Scarry scored 6 goals on the season.

The Hornets ended the season with an overall record of 2-19. It was not the greatest season for a team made up of freshman, however it was a scrappy team that put in the work, day in and day out.

It may have been head coach Rhett Price's last season as he retires after 33 seasons at the helm. Price has a heart of gold and will forever be known as one of the Hornet greats. He helped FC win a state championship as a player in 1974 and a conference title in 1975. Price is 2nd on the all-time goals list with 201.
