ROUGH WATERS IN THE FIRST QUARTER

A rough first quarter set the Hornets back at El Camino College on Wednesday for the season opener as the Hornets fell to the Warriors 17-3. 

El Camino scored the first goal of the game in the seventh minute on a shot by Robbie Josic (assist by Zane Johnson), but Fullerton hit back seconds later thanks to a goal by David Quintana. The Hornet's wings were soon clipped as El Camino took off on a 11-0 run that completely turned the game in the Warrior's favor.

Down 12-1 at the start of the second quarter, El Camino added two more goals by Heitor Trefilio and Robbie Josic to FC's one by Kameron Celie. By the end of the third quarter, the Warriors were in full control of the game with a 15-2 lead.

FC's John Darnbrough managed to score one more unassisted goal in the fourth quarter with a over a minute left in the game. 

Fullerton's goal keeping duties were split between Josiah Fifield (first half) and Kameron Celie (second half). Fifield had 4 saves and Celie totaled 15.

Up Next: The Hornets (0-1 overall) will have their home and conference opener on Wednesday, September 11th when they welcome Saddleback College to the FC pool. Game time is at 4:15 pm.
