COMPETING AT MT. SAC INVITE

COMPETING AT MT. SAC INVITE

After a good showing at the Manny Bautista Invite last week, the No. 15 in SoCal Hornets achieved solid times on the Mt. SAC course. For some of the FC runners, it was their first time running the flat, climbing switch backs, and taking on a rolling reservoir hill to the finish line- not an easy task for any athlete.

The sophomores ran their best times from last year, and the freshmen achieved their best time from what they ran in high school. Getting through such a tough course, teammates were encouraging giving each other with high-fives as they crossed the finish line.

Both the Hornet men and women found their teammates to run with grouping up to keep the team score low.

"We have front runners that can move up in the race and that makes the rest of the team stay in check with their teammate. Every race we are getting better and feeling confident from the weeks practice. Everyone has a part to achieve, and they are accepting their role every week" said FC Head Coach Gina Bevec.
