Fullerton made it ten wins in a row over the weekend!

On Saturday, the Hornets played a double header at Santa Barbara City College beating the Vaqueros twice 5-3 and 4-2.

In the first game Fullerton's Nia Rodman started it off for the Hornets. Her double to right center in the top of the first inning allowed Eryka Springer and Elexa Rangel to score.

In the second inning Tiffany Centeno scored via Veronica Garza's single to right field.

Fullerton kept it 3-0 until the fifth inning when Eryka Springer's single down the infield gave enough time to her teammates Natasha Trujillo, and Sabrina Anguiano to score. The single from Eryka Springer officially placed her in the record books by becoming the first Hornet in history to reach 70 RBI in a single season surpassing Alexandria Avila's 68 (2013-14).

Starting pitcher Natasha Trujillo threw the ball for 4.1 innings earning 2 strikeouts and only allowing 3 hits. Reliever Deanna Gonzalez stepped in the circle for 2 innings only allowing 2 hits.

Shelby Boehmer closed the first game by pitching for .2 of an inning.

In the second game the Hornets pick-up right where they left off. Offense came early with a little luck for FC. In the top of the second inning Kaylee Williamson score on a wild pitch. The same pitch allowed Tiffiny Centeno to advance to third base. On the next play Kassandra Salazar sacrifice fly to center field that brought in Centeno.

In the third inning Eryka Springer scored on an error by the second base player.

The final run for Fullerton was in the fifth inning when Nia Rodman singled up the middle and Desiree Guzman scored.

Starting Pitcher Natasha Trujillo pitched 5 innings, earned 3 strikeouts and only allowed one walk. Reliever Shelby Boehmer pitched the last 2 innings of the game. She ended the game with 3 strikeouts.
