SOFTBALL: HORNETS SOAR PAST FALCONS

The No. 9 Hornets took on Cerritos College in a non-conference home-game on Tuesday, and clipped the Falcons 3-0.

Fullerton put themselves on the board in the bottom of the fourth taking a 3-0 lead. Lulu Vasquez got it started blasting deep homer over the left center fence. Sarah Rengifo stole second and Khloe Lilavois took off from third scoring on the throw down. Desiree Guzman then popped a single to left field scoring Rengifo from second.

FC pitcher Jessica Lopez (13-4 overall) got the start got the start in the circle going 4 innings with no runs against on 1 hits, with a stunning 9 K's. Lulu Vasquez came in to finish out the game earning her first save of the season. She tossed 3 innings with 2 hits against, 3 K's and 1 walk.

Up Next: The Hornets (29-6 overall, 13-4 OEC) will take on Golden West College at home for a conference matchup on Wednesday, April 17th at 3:00 pm.
