HALEY GARCIA SIGNS WITH UC SAN DIEGO

Hornet centerfielder Haley Garcia will be studying and playing softball at UCSD this coming fall.

Using her speed on the field of play, Garcia led the 2024 State Champion Hornets in steals this season with 18, while locking down the outfield with her glove with a .987 fielding percentage. A 1st Team All-Southern California selection, Haley had the second highest batting average for Fullerton at .426 while starting in all 50 games. She also finished second on the team in hits at 66 with 42 runs, 33 RBI, and had 11 walks. Earning 1st Team All-Orange Empire Conference honors, Garcia only struck out three times this season (155 at bats).

"Haley is such a great athlete with incredible speed. She is a smart player on the field as well as in the classroom. UCSD is getting a great all-around student-athlete. We have been beyond blessed to be her coaches, and she will be missed", FC Coach Marian "Speedy" Mendoza.
