FULLERTON HERITAGE RUNS DEEP: In a CSU San Marcos vs. Concordia University game last Thursday, two former FC players coached against each other and two former FC players faced each other for the first time.

Former Hornets turned coach Sheri Jennum of San Marcos and Joial Griffith of Concordia squared off Thursday night with each of them featuring a former Hornet player on their squad in Sarah Jackson (San Marcos) Carlisha Phillips (Concordia).

Former FC head basketball coach turned golf coach, Debi Woelke was on hand to watch the game. "It's a first! It was a thrill to watch! They may have been wearing different colors and logos on their shirts, but we all know they are Hornets at heart.  Also, I've really enjoyed getting out and watching former players at 4 year schools, including Alysa Ito (Sonoma State), Rachel Hatch (Cal Poly Pomona).

Cal State San Marcos won the game 77-67. 

Others former FC players that Coch Woelke keeps up with via the internet include Amanda Frost (Northern Arizona University), Chanel Benson (Williams Wood University), and Loren Gurrola (Hawaii Pacific University).

Other former FC players coaching at 4 year schools, include Sheri Jennum (head @ CS San Marcos), Joial Griffith (ass't @ Concordia) and Laura Freimuth (ass't @ CSULB), Jessica Duran (ass't @ West Hills CC w/ former FC asst Andrea Picchi). Other former FC players now coaching include Renee Wood (Southeast Missouri State University) also coaching HS are Michelle Ortiz and Chris Payne (La Serna), Katy Barstow (Fairmont Prep), Sarah Hoffman (Canyon), Lisa Duthoy (La Mirada), and Kelly Thompson (Sonora).
