The FC women's basketball squad showed some firepower at El Camino College Friday night beating the Warriors 71-17.
It was the largest victory for the Hornets in the last ten years. The record for largest margin of victory is 99 points set against Victor Valley in 2003.
The Hornets dominated every aspect of the game owning a 25-4 lead by the end of the first quarter. The team out-rebounded El Camino 61-33, forced 32 turnovers, and out-shot the Warriors 32.9% to 9.8%.
Four players scored in double-digits. Tia Jaquias led all scorers with 16 points, while Kaylee Shimoda and Toni Ballestero put up 12 points each. Sarah Shaw scored 10 points and had 9 rebounds.
Up Next: The Hornets (3-0 overall) will play at the Skyline College Crossover November 16-18. They open with San Jose at 5:00 pm on Thursday, Nov. 16th.
