LEE BROUGHT THE HEAT TAKING NO. 1 SPOT

On Monday, the Hornets took 4th place out of seven teams at the Iron Woods Golf Course hosted by College of the Desert.

FC's own Cathilyn Lee placed 1st overall earning with a score of 73 for the individual competition. It was quite a feat as Lee, who not only had to fight off strong competition, battled thought grueling 110 temperatures.

"We started early and hydrated well; however it was exhausting and had we not been vigilant about hydration, along with the use of cooling towels, it could have proved dangerous", Hornet Head Coach Naveen Kanal.

Hornet teammates Ylianna Fernandez finished with 86, Alyssa Vasquez 96, Rhea Sigur 109, and Tabitha Isom 141.
