
HORNETS 4-0 TO START THE SEASON
The FC women's lacrosse club team is off to a hot start winning four straight matches to start the season.
Last Saturday, the Hornets traveled to Cal State Northridge and opened up the offense beating the Matadors 24-3. The following day, Fullerton hosted UC Santa Cruz and won 11-7.
On Saturday, the Hornets welcomed March with a big 29-1 victory over visiting Biola University. FC had 15 different scorers.
Sunday at home against Cal Poly San Luis Obispo was the real test for the Hornets as the Mustangs are ranked 3rd in the nation. Fullerton had a slow start to the contest falling behind 3-1 in the first quarter. FC came out clicking in the second quarter to tie it up 3-3 before going on a 4-3 run in the fourth to win it 9-8.
Robin Gaudette scored a team-high 5 goals for Fullerton, while Brooklynn Peters tossed in 2 of her own. Kealia Amorin and Julia Schlachter both scored a goal each. Assits were had by Robin Gaudette (1), Brooklynn Peters (1), and Tianna Hehl (1). Peters also had 6 ground balls and 4 draw controls. Delaney Crile had 3 controlled takeaways.
Sienna Davis was in goal and had 2 saves.
Up Next: The Hornets (4-0 overall) will play at UC Irvine on Wednesday, March 5th at 7:00 pm.
